Obrana Group was established in 1993, with the founding of Obrana Construction focused on the construction of single homes and small projects.

From the outset, Obrana maintained established disciplined procedures to deliver quality, on-time and on-budget homes – not a norm in Portugal at the time - and rapidly became renowned for the quality of its homes, service levels to customers and integrity in its dealings with all stakeholders.   Consequently the business grew, gaining repeat customers, winning Best Villa in Portugal and was invited to undertake specialist and prestigious projects such as renovation of Ambassadors Residences, 5 star hotel projects.
