You will find the Portuguese people exceptionally friendly.  Like most of Portugal, the Silver Coast comprises mainly of small towns and villages; 3 million of Portugal’s population are in the two major cities of Lisbon and Porto with the remainder spread across the country. Consequently overcrowded roads and oppressive cities are not to be found. Small town and village life may move at a different pace to that which you are used to at home and adjusting to this healthy pace is just part of the pleasure of being on holiday.

The region’s weather is temperate and mild, and the area near offers sports lovers a wide choice of activities. Along the clear coastal waters there is good fishing, exceptional surfing, deep sea diving near the Berlenga islands, abundant fauna and flora as well as water skiing, windsurfing and lagoon.  

The surrounding area and beaches make good walking country and golf is a popular attraction.
